As a Business Development Representative, you will be part of a fast-moving organization, where customer relations, an understanding of realities in the field and a strategic approach play an essential role. You’ll be actively involved in developing new business opportunities, promoting our lifting solutions and expanding our presence with major players in the mining industry.

Your future role

Business development and prospecting:
– Identify and develop new lifting opportunities in assigned territories.
– Identify and develop new customer prospects by promoting the value of the solutions offered by Megatraction.
– Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline focused on excavator separations, carbody lifts and major maintenance shutdowns.
– Secure short-term rental projects and long-term rental investments.
– Meet annual equipment placement targets (Megalifter, Superlifter, Prolifter).
– Proactively approach customers 6 to 18 months before planned shutdowns.

Account management and customer experience:
– Develop strong relationships with maintenance planners, asset managers, reliability engineers and procurement teams.
– Conduct post-project reviews to identify recurring opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships.
– Act as the main customer point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
– Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and foster recurring business opportunities.

Strategic and operational alignment:
– Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM updates.
– Provide market intelligence and strategic competitive information.
– Support the company’s strategic growth and territorial expansion objectives.

Required Skills

– Consultative sales approach focused on value creation.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
– Ability to develop lasting relationships and effectively manage long-term sales cycles.
– Strategic mindset with the ability to identify multi-site growth opportunities.
– A high degree of autonomy, initiative and responsibility.

Qualifications and experience:
– More than 5 years’ sales experience in the mining, heavy equipment, industrial services or engineering solutions sectors.
– Good understanding of mining maintenance operations (hydraulic shovels, excavators, major components).
– Demonstrated experience in concluding high-value equipment leasing or sales agreements.
– Technical ability to discuss lifting plans, load paths and risk mitigation measures.
– Sales experience with maintenance, reliability or operations teams (not just purchasing).
– Willingness to travel extensively to mining sites across the country.
– Well-established network of contacts with major mining customers across North America.
