As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational management of the company’s finances. Under the supervision of the Accounting Department, you will actively contribute to the production of financial statements, performance analysis, consolidation of results and budget planning.
Your objective: to provide reliable and relevant financial information to support decision-making, while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
Your future role
- Analyze monthly financial statements
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Review month-end controls
- Manage year-end work in conjunction with external auditing, ensuring adequate preparation of various reconciliations and analyses;
- Coordinate and direct external audit work;
- Maintain relations with external auditors and tax authorities;
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly variance analyses;
- Ensure that the consolidation processes in place meet the company’s evolving needs;
- Prepare consolidated financial statements;
- Verify that internal controls over the consolidated database and appropriate governance mechanisms are in place;
- Ensures the optimization of departmental processes, develops related policies, procedures and work methods, and ensures compliance by staff.
- Support divisional accounting teams in consolidating financial information and presenting complex transactions;
- Manage, mobilize and support team members.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Accounting
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position or in an accounting firm
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism an asset
- Versatile, resourceful and at ease with cutting-edge technologies
- Developed judgment and ability to assess the impact of decisions
- A good listener, proactive in finding the information you need
- Organized, able to manage several projects simultaneously
- Team spirit and ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders
