Your future role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager – DRI and Ironmaking to represent Metal7 and support our growth in a rapidly evolving market. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for expanding our presence with clients in the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) and ironmaking sectors, while positioning our flagship product, the pellet roller screen, as a must-have solution.

In this strategic role, you will be expected to:
• Represent Metal7 and its expertise to key industry players,
• Acquire new customers by clearly demonstrating the tangible value of our solutions,
• Act as a technical resource throughout the entire sales cycle,
• Work closely with the innovation, sales, and marketing teams to refine our value proposition and go-to-market strategy.

Your main responsibilities:

  1. Client Development
  • Promote Metal7 solutions through your network, social media, industry events, and leads from our sales team.
  • Be the main point of contact throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Be the face of Metal7 in the DRI market.
  1. Value Proposition and Product Positioning.
  • Model and quantify customer value in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Identify specific pain points and propose tailored solutions.
  • Monitor competitor solutions and strategically position our product.
  • Train the sales team and develop, in collaboration with the Finance team, business models tailored to each market.
  1. Market Intelligence and Marketing
  • Analyze market trends and competition to guide our strategy.
  • Create profiles of key clients (current and potential) and identify their needs.
  • Contribute to content creation for conferences, publications, and social media.
  1. CRM and Sales Coordination
  • Ensure the update of customer data in Hubspot CRM.
  • Leverage data to refine our go-to-market strategy.
  1. Tracking and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Track performance using indicators from Hubspot.
  • Present monthly reports to management.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (English required, other languages are a plus).
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Strategic, innovative, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and ability to plan for the medium term (3 to 6 months).
  • Strong proficiency in CRM tools and standard office applications.
  • Ease in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric approach.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development in the heavy equipment or industrial engineering field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the ironmaking or DRI sector — essential.

Availability for travel
up to 50% of the time (primarily in the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East).
