As amechanical engineer, you will play a key role between engineering, operations, sales and innovation. You will contribute to the development of high-performance mechanical solutions, aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Your future role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be the technical reference for all mechanical and structural aspects of our products, from design to commissioning. You’ll be responsible for optimizing solutions, supervising manufacturing at our subcontractors and supporting implementation at customer sites. Working in a dynamic SME environment, you will actively contribute to the company’s growth and development.
Specific tasks include:
- Carry out mechanical calculations and analyses, and produce the required diagrams, drawings, specifications and manuals
- Design the mechanical and structural components of products, in close collaboration with the technical team.
- Imagining new lifting products or new ways of using our existing equipment
- Develop and deploy internal engineering tools, as well as technical policies and procedures
- Support procurement team in supplier selection and development
- Evaluate technical offers from suppliers and supervise manufacturing with subcontractors
- Carry out quality and functional inspections, and ensure conformity of delivered products
- Monitor budgets to help identify discrepancies and help resolve them
- Provide technical support for on-site lifting operations, including the production of lifting drawings
- Participate in equipment commissioning and support customers during deployment
- Support the sales team in preparing technical bids
- Collaborate on various cross-functional projects contributing to the company’s growth
- Demonstrate autonomy and versatility in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum8 years’ experience
- Experience with 3D CAD software (Inventor , an asset)
- Knowledge of finite element analysis software
- Ability to understand complex systems , even outside one’s area of specialization
- Experience in managing engineering projects from start to finish
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment where priorities change rapidly
- Know how to assert your ideas clearly and precisely, even in the face of adversity
- Demonstrates rigor and organization
- Excellent communication skills in French and English
- Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers
Bonuses that could set you apart:
