As Business Development Manager, you will actively contribute to the expansion of our presence in international markets. You will play a key role in understanding customer needs, identifying new business opportunities and promoting high value-added solutions, working closely with internal teams to support the company’s sales strategy.

Your future role

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in Megatraction’s expansion into strategic markets. You will help identify new opportunities, develop strong customer relationships and support the commercial growth of our lifting solutions in the mining sector. Working with internal teams, you will ensure that market needs are aligned with our offerings, maximizing our impact and positioning internationally.

Required Skills

Market development and strategic vision

  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities in strategic markets or segments.
  • Expertise in market research: analysis of trends, competition and emerging opportunities.
  • Ability to detect customer needs and contribute to the innovation of solutions, by formulating clear business cases.
  • Help define territory strategies, sales targets and prepare sales proposals.
  • Competence in creating and presenting clear, convincing and technically accurate sales material.

Customer relationship development and management

  • Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and agents.
  • Service-oriented and responsive, with a consultative approach focused on value and problem-solving.
  • Ability to identify additional customer needs, including cross-selling opportunities.

Internal collaboration and coordination

  • Ability to work closely with Operations, Engineering and Innovation teams to ensure consistency between customer needs and technical feasibility.
  • Participation in commercial negotiations under the supervision of the Sales Manager.
  • Rigorous follow-up of opportunities via CRM and information management.
  • Effective coordination of customer visits, demonstrations and technical meetings.

Performance monitoring and continuous improvement

  • Ability to report on sales activities, pipeline and forecasts.
  • Results-oriented, with direct contribution to sales and profitability targets.
  • Sensitivity to customer satisfaction and ability to integrate feedback into the improvement of business practices.

Representation and brand image

  • Ability to represent the company at trade shows, events and customer meetings.
  • Professionalism and alignment with corporate values to promote a consistent brand image.

Technical and behavioral skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Organization, autonomy, proactivity and effective management of multiple priorities in a decentralized structure.
  • Solid understanding of technical environments (mining, industrial, heavy equipment).
  • Fluency in English (French and/or Spanish an asset).

Training & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field.
  • 3 to 7 years’ experience in business development, technical sales or account management.
  • Experience in the mining, heavy industry or equipment sector – a definite asset.
  • Experience in mining shovel maintenance: an added advantage.
