As Corporate Controller, you will play a strategic role in the financial and operational management of Métal7. Under the supervision of the Vice President Finance, you will actively contribute to the production of financial statements, performance analysis, results consolidation and budget planning.
Your objective: to provide reliable and relevant financial information to support decision-making, while participating in the continuous improvement of processes and the development of your team.
Your future role
Financial analysis and communication
- Prepare and analyze, with the financial analyst, periodic financial statements in order to provide recommendations to management.
- Present monthly analyses to the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee.
Audit and compliance
- Manage year-end work and coordinate external audits.
- Ensure the proper preparation of reconciliations, analyses and required financial documents.
- Maintain relations with tax and administrative authorities.
Budgets and financial planning
- Participate in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets with the financial analyst.
- Monitor and analyze monthly budget variances to support decision-making.
Processes and optimization
- Optimize accounting and financial processes, develop policies, procedures and work methods.
- Supervise financial consolidation and prepare the consolidated statement using existing tools.
Leadership and team development

- Manage, mobilize and support the professional development of your team members.
- Promote collaboration with different departments to ensure overall financial performance.
Required Skills
-
Bachelor of Accounting
-
CPA designation required
-
Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar position or in an accounting firm

Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism an asset

Versatile, resourceful and at ease with cutting-edge technologies

Developed judgment and ability to assess the impact of decisions

Organized, able to manage several projects simultaneously

A good listener and proactive in finding the information you need

Team spirit and ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders
