YOUR FUTURE TEAM
The Procurement Officer is responsible for procurement planning and operations for the business unit. He/She coordinates the purchase of goods and services in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the company. The supplier can plan 5 to 10 trips during the year. Your future role
- Develop purchasing strategies by product category
- Executes procurement operations (Call for tenders, contracting, purchase orders, order tracking, maintaining adequate inventory) according to product category strategies
- Maintains the business link between the business unit and the suppliers, which includes the performance review of suppliers under contract and/or critical to the business unit.
- Participates in the profitability analysis and advises internal clients on strategies to follow in order to reduce and maintain operating costs
- Ensures on-time delivery from suppliers to support production demands.
- Ensures the link between production and suppliers for all non-conformities and works with the supplier to put in place action plans.
Required Skills
Training:
- BAC in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- A DEC with 4 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Knowledge :
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
Abilities:
- Bilingualism (French, English)
- Mastery of the tools of the Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
- Knowledge and experience with ERP software, SAP Business one an asset
- Knowledge of good procurement practices
- Ease of working in a team, excellent communication skills and experience with external and internal clients
- Rigor, autonomy and organized.
- Ability to work under pressure
