As Technical Sales Manager, you will be a key player in analyzing customer needs, producing high-quality technical and commercial deliverables, and supporting the sales team. Your role will contribute directly to the success of Métal7’s industrial projects and strategic growth.

Your future role

As Technical Sales Manager, you will be the strategic link between engineering and sales. Your main missions include:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute project estimating activities.

  • Analyze customer technical documentation (drawings, specifications, requirements) as part of calls for tender or preliminary projects.

  • Produce technical and commercial deliverables, such as: cost and time estimates, general arrangement drawings, technical deviation lists, and technical specifications.

  • Prepare technical and commercial offers consistent with customer expectations and internal standards.

  • Provide ongoing technical support to the sales team and manage technical returns or complaints in collaboration with other departments.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes related to pre-project activities.

  • Carry out any other related tasks as required by the company.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy and relevance of proposals, while directly supporting the company’s growth and commercial success.

Required Skills

Education and experience :

  • Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in estimating, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial project context.

Technical knowledge :

  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written). A third language is an asset.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (an asset).

  • Experience in tendering or managing structured technical projects.

Personal skills

  • Autonomy, proactivity, and strong motivation.

  • Analytical mindset and thoroughness in task execution.

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.

  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Team spirit and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

Performance indicators:

  • Meeting deadlines for producing estimates.

  • Accuracy and reliability of estimated costs.

  • Quality and clarity of technical deliverables.

  • Satisfaction of internal and external customers.

  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of estimation tools and methods.
