As a mechanical engineer, you will play a key role bridging engineering, operations, sales, and innovation. You will contribute to developing high-performance mechanical solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Your future role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be the technical reference for all mechanical and structural aspects of our products, from design to commissioning. You will ensure the optimization of solutions, supervise manufacturing at our subcontractors, and support their implementation at client sites. In a dynamic SME environment, you will actively contribute to the company’s growth and development.
Your specific responsibilities include:

Performing mechanical calculations and analyses, and producing required diagrams, drawings, specifications, and manuals

Designing mechanical and structural components of products in close collaboration with the technical team

Developing new lifting products or new ways to use our existing equipment
-
Creating and deploying internal engineering tools, as well as technical policies and procedures

Supporting the procurement team in selecting and developing suppliers
-
Evaluating technical proposals from suppliers and supervising manufacturing at subcontractors
-
Conducting quality and functional inspections, ensuring product compliance
-
Managing budgets by identifying variances and participating in their resolution

Providing on-site technical support for lifting operations, including the production of lifting drawings
-
Participating in equipment commissioning and assisting clients during deployment

Assisting the sales team in preparing technical proposals
-
Collaborating on cross-functional projects contributing to the company’s growth

Demonstrating autonomy and versatility in an entrepreneurial and evolving context
Required Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-
Minimum 8 years of experience
-
Experience with 3D CAD software (Inventor is a plus)

Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) software
-
Ability to understand complex systems, even outside one’s specialty

Experience managing engineering projects from start to finish

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing priority environment

Clear and confident communication of ideas, even in challenging situations

Demonstrates rigor and strong organizational skills

Excellent communication skills in both French and English

Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers
Bonus qualifications that will set you apart:

Experience in the mining industry or expertise with mining excavators is a major asset

Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management

Knowledge of automation or hydraulic systems
